HOB's new live set: analog synthesis, live looping, vocals and percussion in real time, spanning Afro House, Progressive, Deep House, Melodic Techno and Downtempo.
The concept
HOB fuses Colombian ethnic sounds with analog synthesis and electronic music to create a sensory, narrative experience in which his personal experiences are the raw material of the sonic journey. In his live set he produces music in real time with live looping, vocals and percussion, moving through energies that range from the ancestral to rhythms and basslines made for dancing.
Influences
From traditional Colombian music —Gaiteros de San Jacinto, Grupo Bahía, Lucho Bermúdez— to electronic references such as Trentemøller, Stephan Bodzin and Richie Hawtin, with a strong influence from the jazz of Keith Jarrett and John Coltrane: a deep connection between listening, the body and emotion.
